What can I do for you?
With constantly-evolving technology available to us at both home and work, it is easy to feel like we are being left behind. Most of us don't have the time or inclination to learn how to repair, set-up or program computers ourselves. Deciding to have someone else do the work is only the beginning - who can you turn to when you need professional, courteous service at a reasonable price? I can help you. Part of my motivation for choosing to help others arose from a very disappointing computer-service experience from a major Canadian retailer. My computer was shipped across the country, took two months to return, and had not been repaired properly. In the end, I fixed it myself, which gave me the desire to learn more and the confidence to help others. Seven years later, I feel fortunate to be in this position. Although I specialize in web design and development, I can assist you with many tasks - Contact me to find out more.
Why should you choose me?
I have been using and programming computers for over twenty-five years. From the early days of MS-DOS and Applesoft BASIC, up to Windows 7 and Python, I have a vast array of experience to draw from. My University training includes courses in Web Design and general Troubleshooting, as well as programming in HTML, Javascript, jQuery, Java, Python, MySQL and PHP. I provide a wide range of services, and can implement solutions for almost any computer-related problem. I can help you with an individual task, or provide ongoing support for your home, office, or web-based needs.
Web development & design: under the hood
My first love is Web Design, and I find it an inspiring challenge to combine the artistic with the pragmatic. I can tailor a website to your specific needs, whatever they may be. Contact me for a customized quote or to arrange a personal appointment to discuss your website. I am also available to redesign existing websites, or update website data on either a regular or a case-by-case basis. Rates are negotiable, based on the nature of the services you need, and I offer special rates for non-profit organizations. All HTML code that I create for your website will pass validation tests administered by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C), an international community that implements standards for Web development.
My pledge to you
I look forward to the opportunity to assist you with either your office IT needs or your personal projects. Whatever the task, I pledge to provide professional, prompt and cost-effective service that meets your requirements and exceeds your expectations. - Rodney Weis

Semantic HTML5
It won't be news to most developers that HTML5 includes many new markup elements that are intended to help lend order to the structure to our websites. Just having elements named <header>, <footer> and <nav> is a huge step forward for those of us who are used to starting an HTML document by declaring <div> elements with these id names. Read more...
